How did you hear about the regional bursary and why did you decide to apply?
I heard about the regional bursary through the Coordinator for International students at my college and decided to apply on the account of the monetary help which was appreciated, given my family's financial condition.
How long have been studying your course? What have you enjoyed about the course so far? How do you plan to use this qualification for your future career?
I have been studying for the ICT40120 Certificate IV in Information Technology at Central Regional TAFE’s Geraldton campus since the beginning of the year.
I have enjoyed the support and patience of the staff at my college. They have been truly helpful to me in a way I have not experienced before in my home country.
How have you found the facilities on your campus? What are the best things about your lecturers and teaching style?
The material taught is very close to what is expected in the industry which is very helpful for students to prepare for the job market.
How does life in Australia compare to home? What are some fun activities you’ve been enjoying in your free time?
I have found that life is safer, and people are generally more helpful here. I have found this especially at TAFE, when compared to other education institutions in my country, Brazil.
Would you recommend the regional bursary to other students and why?
I would recommend the regional bursary as the monetary assistance is very helpful.
